In consecutive mode, the interpreter takes part in the conversation among the parties, takes notes and then translates at regular intervals of time (ranging from 5 to 10 minutes ish). Unlike simultaneous interpreting, the consecutive mode does not require the use of any techical equipment and is particularly fit for short events, such as press releases or presentations by one speaker.
